Shaken Not Stirred is an organization founded in 2019 with the mission to empower future generations by developing and implementing innovative education projects. Our flagship initiatives include 42 Portugal and TUMO Portugal.
42 is one of the world’s leading coding schools, with over 50 campuses across more than 30 countries. It is a free of charge, inclusive school, open to anyone regardless of academic background or professional experience, based on a peer-to-peer, project-based learning model with no classes, no teachers, and no schedules. In Portugal, 42 Lisboa opened in 2020 and 42 Porto in 2022, and has nowadays 2000 active students with an employment rate above 90%.
TUMO is a creative technologies center founded in Armenia and now present in more than 10 countries. Aimed at young people aged 12 to 18, TUMO is a free of charge program that complements formal education through personalized learning paths in areas such as Programming, Robotics, Animation, Game Development, Music, Photography, and Graphic Design. In Portugal, TUMO centers are already operating in Coimbra, Lisboa and Porto, each with a capacity for 1.500 students, and an ambition to scale even further nationwide.
Shaken Not Stirred is also taking its first steps in international expansion, with the upcoming launch of TUMO Bilbao planned for September 2026.
Alongside these free educational initiatives, Shaken Not Stirred develops professional and entrepreneurship programs, such as the AI Dive for Business, delivered both in partnership with companies (B2B) and directly to individuals (B2C).

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Finance Trainee, you will be an integral part of the Finance team, supporting day-to-day financial operations and gaining hands-on experience in payments, reconciliations, and cash management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in finance, who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a structured, compliance-focused environment.
You will work closely with the Finance team to ensure accuracy, reliability, and transparency in financial processes, contributing to the smooth operation of the organization while developing practical skills in finance and treasury operations.
Payments Support:
Assist in the timely execution of payments to suppliers, collaborators, and service providers.
Support the preparation of payment requests, ensuring all documentation is complete and properly authorized.
Financial Records & Reconciliations:
Help maintain accurate payment records in the ERP system.
Support account and bank reconciliations, ensuring alignment between internal records and bank statements.
Cash & Treasury Assistance:
Assist in tracking short-term cash flow and balances.
Support reporting of upcoming payments and liquidity needs.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Follow established internal policies and procedures for payments and approvals.
Learn to identify discrepancies or potential issues and escalate appropriately.
Process Improvement:
Contribute ideas to improve finance workflows and documentation.
Learn how to maintain efficient and reliable financial processes.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the Finance team and other internal stakeholders.
Maintain clear and professional communication regarding payments and financial queries.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus (e.g., Primavera), but not required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Interest in learning about payments, reconciliations, and treasury operations.
Comfortable working with deadlines and repetitive, high-precision tasks.
Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn.
Comfortable working in a structured environment with well-defined tasks.
Willingness to take initiative while learning when to escalate issues.
Fluency in Portuguese and good command of English (written and spoken).
