ABOUT US:

Shaken Not Stirred is a company founded in 2019 with the mission to empower future generations by developing and implementing innovative education projects. Our two flagship initiatives are 42 em Portugal and TUMO Portugal.

42 is one of the world’s leading coding schools, with over 52 campuses across 31 countries. It’s an inclusive school open to anyone, regardless of academic background or professional experience. The school employs a disruptive, peer-to-peer, project-based learning methodology with no classes, no teachers, and no schedules, boasting a 100% employability rate for its students. 42 Lisboa was launched in July 2020 by Shaken Not Stirred and has received almost 60,000 applications since then and +1000 students have passed by. A second 42 campus opened in Porto in July 2022 with +600 students started. In 2024, Shaken Not Stirred implemented at 42 Porto the SEA:ME Program - a 1-year Master's-level program in mobility software engineering, developed and owned by the Coding School 42 Wolfsburg in collaboration with industry leaders.

TUMO is a creative technologies center founded in Armenia, now present in over 10 countries. Aimed at young people aged 12 to 18, TUMO complements formal education by offering opportunities to develop skills in areas such as Music, Robotics, Animation, Game Development, Programming, Photography, Cinema, and Graphic Design. Each student follows a personalized learning path based on their progress and interests, guided by learning coaches and experts. The first TUMO center in Portugal opened in Coimbra in September 2023, and the second one in Lisboa in September 2024, each serving 1,500 students. The next one is going to open in Porto in September 2025, with plans for 10 centers nationwide.

The above initiatives are completely free of charge, made possible by our generous donors and partners. Our mission is to promote upward social mobility and accelerate social growth in Portugal.


ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Graphic Designer will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of Shaken Not Stirred, 42 Portugal, and TUMO Portugal. This position is responsible for developing and executing creative assets that support our communication strategies, institutional events, and partner engagement efforts. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with the Communications teams to ensure visual consistency across all touchpoints, strengthening the brand’s presence and impact. This role reports to the Head Marketing and Communications and requires a keen eye for detail, strong design sensibility, and the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visuals.

  • Visual Identity & Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual materials align with brand guidelines. Maintain consistency across digital and print assets to reinforce a cohesive brand presence.
  • Content Creation & Design: Design materials for web, social media, newsletters, presentations, event collateral, and printed assets. This includes infographics, reports, case studies, and promotional materials.
  • Support for Campaigns & Initiatives: Collaborate with the Communications team to bring campaigns to life visually. Interpret creative briefs and deliver designs that reflect our mission in education and social mobility.
  • Event Design Support: Design invitations, signage, badges, presentations, and other visual materials to support institutional events and partner/donor engagements.
  • Partner & Stakeholder Materials: Create visually engaging presentations, annual reports, and pitch decks that help communicate our impact and foster strong relationships with partners.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on design trends, tools, and best practices. Regularly review the performance of visual content and explore ways to improve impact and engagement.


WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years working as a Graphic Designer or in a related creative field.
  • Visual Communication: Demonstrated ability to develop impactful visual assets across digital and print formats, aligned with brand and communication strategies.
  • Design Craftsmanship: Proficiency in creating engaging layouts, illustrations, infographics, and marketing materials for diverse audiences and platforms..
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling visuals that support organizational goals and storytelling..
  • Collaboration & Adaptability: Strong ability to work closely with communications, marketing, and external partners to ensure design consistency and relevance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar platforms. Experience with photo and video capture and editing is a plus, though not a requirement.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
