ABOUT US:

Shaken Not Stirred is an organization founded in 2019 with the mission to empower future generations by developing and implementing innovative education projects. Our flagship initiatives include 42 Portugal and TUMO Portugal. All our initiatives are driven by a strong social mission: to promote upward social mobility and contribute to long-term social and economic growth.

42 is one of the world’s leading coding schools, with over 50 campuses across more than 30 countries. It is a free of charge, inclusive school, open to anyone regardless of academic background or professional experience, based on a peer-to-peer, project-based learning model with no classes, no teachers, and no schedules. In Portugal, 42 Lisboa opened in 2020 and 42 Porto in 2022, and has nowadays 1000 active students with an employment rate above 90%.

TUMO is a creative technologies center founded in Armenia and now present in more than 10 countries. Aimed at young people aged 12 to 18, TUMO is a free of charge program that complements formal education through personalized learning paths in areas such as Programming, Robotics, Animation, Game Development, Music, Photography, and Graphic Design. In Portugal, TUMO centers are already operating in Coimbra, Lisboa and Porto, each with a capacity for 1.500 students, and an ambition to scale even further nationwide.

Shaken Not Stirred is also taking its first steps in international expansion and professional and entrepreneurship programs, delivered both in partnership with companies (B2B) and directly to individuals (B2C).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Growth Specialist is responsible for driving the full student acquisition journey end-to-end — from first contact to enrollment — across Shaken Not Stirred’s educational projects (42 Portugal, TUMO Portugal, and professional programs).

This role owns results: ensuring that potential students discover, engage with, and ultimately enrol in our programs.

You will design and execute organic, partnership-driven and activation-focused strategies, leveraging the unique strength of our projects: strong community, high goodwill, and word-of-mouth potential.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who is:

  • proactive,

  • comfortable with ambiguity,

  • obsessed with outcomes,

  • and motivated by building systems that convert interest into real participation.

    Your success will be measured primarily by:

  • number of applicants, visits, and enrolled students

  • conversion rates across the funnel

  • growth of organic reach and engagement

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. End-to-End Admissions Ownership

Own the full funnel:

  • Awareness → Interest → Lead → Visit → Enrollment

  • Ensure no stage is “unowned” or leaking

Act as the single point of accountability for student acquisition results.

2. Partnerships & Organic Growth (Primary Focus)

Drive visibility through:

  • partnerships with schools, institutions, communities

  • influencers, alumni, employers, and ambassadors

  • events, talks, and external activations

Actively identify and secure opportunities for free exposure and amplification.

3. Lead Activation & Conversion

Turn leads into real candidates:

  • follow-up via email, phone, WhatsApp

  • manage visit scheduling and attendance

  • ensure strong conversion from interest → visit → enrollment

Continuously improve response time, messaging, and conversion flows.

4. Community & Social Proof

Strengthen organic credibility:

  • activate students and alumni to generate reviews

  • improve presence on key platforms (Google, social, etc.)

  • create simple mechanisms to increase word-of-mouth

5. Funnel Optimization & Experimentation

Identify bottlenecks and improve:

  • conversion rates at each stage

  • messaging and positioning

  • candidate experience

Run lightweight tests (channels, formats, outreach approaches) and scale what works.

6. Tracking & Performance Monitoring

  • Track leads, visits, and enrollments across channels

  • Build simple dashboards (not over-engineered)

  • Identify what drives actual admissions (not vanity metrics)

7. Stakeholder Alignment (Simplified)

  • Work closely with each school/team

  • Align on priorities, timing, and capacity

  • Keep communication clear and focused on results

8. Paid Media (Secondary / Tactical)

  • Use paid channels only when relevant

  • Support testing or scaling of validated strategies

  • Ensure spend is justified by real outcomes

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Increased number of applicants and enrolled students

  • Strong conversion rates across all funnel stages

  • High volume of organic traffic and partnerships

  • Reduced dependency on paid media

  • Clear visibility on what drives admissions

NOT THIS ROLE

To be explicit, this is not:

  • a performance marketing specialist role

  • a campaign manager role

  • a purely strategic marketing role

It is a results-driven admissions & growth role.

WHAT YOU BRING

Profile

  • 2+ years in marketing, admissions, growth, or similar

  • Experience in execution-heavy roles (not just strategy)

  • Background in startups, education, or fast-paced environments is a plus

Mindset

  • Strong ownership: you take responsibility for results, not tasks

  • Action-oriented: you move fast and iterate

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch

  • Not attached to “channels” — focused on what works

Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tools (CRM, email, WhatsApp, basic ads, etc.)

  • Strong communication and follow-up skills

  • Basic analytical ability (understand funnels, conversion, etc.)

  • Comfortable engaging with different stakeholders (students, partners, teams)

Languages

  • Portuguese (mandatory)

  • English (mandatory)

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A no-term contract;

  • A full-time position, carried out in-loco in a dynamic and collaborative office environment (based in Beato);

  • A collaborative team where everyone is encouraged to contribute their best to the growth of the project;

  • The opportunity to take real ownership of paid media across meaningful education and social impact projects;

  • A compensation and benefits package aligned with the responsibility of the role and the candidate’s experience;

  • Time off: 5 additional days off on top of mandatory leave;

  • Health insurance: 50% co-funded by the organization;

  • Learning and development opportunities to support continuous growth.
