ABOUT US:

Shaken Not Stirred is an organization founded in 2019 with the mission to empower future generations by developing and implementing innovative education projects. Our flagship initiatives include 42 Portugal and TUMO Portugal. All our initiatives are driven by a strong social mission: to promote upward social mobility and contribute to long-term social and economic growth.

42 is one of the world’s leading coding schools, with over 50 campuses across more than 30 countries. It is a free of charge, inclusive school, open to anyone regardless of academic background or professional experience, based on a peer-to-peer, project-based learning model with no classes, no teachers, and no schedules. In Portugal, 42 Lisboa opened in 2020 and 42 Porto in 2022, and has nowadays 1000 active students with an employment rate above 90%.

TUMO is a creative technologies center founded in Armenia and now present in more than 10 countries. Aimed at young people aged 12 to 18, TUMO is a free of charge program that complements formal education through personalized learning paths in areas such as Programming, Robotics, Animation, Game Development, Music, Photography, and Graphic Design. In Portugal, TUMO centers are already operating in Coimbra, Lisboa and Porto, each with a capacity for 1.500 students, and an ambition to scale even further nationwide.

Shaken Not Stirred is also taking its first steps in international expansion and professional and entrepreneurship programs, delivered both in partnership with companies (B2B) and directly to individuals (B2C).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for someone who gets people through the door — and makes sure they stay.

As Student Growth Manager at Shaken Not Stirred, your job is simple to describe and hard to do well: make more people discover, want, and join our programs — 42 Portugal, TUMO Portugal, and our growing professional programs.

This is not a marketing role in the traditional sense. There's no big budget. There's no agency doing the heavy lifting. What there is: two programs with genuine social impact, a passionate community, and an enormous amount of untapped goodwill. Your job is to turn that into students.

You'll build partnerships, activate communities, follow up on leads, and obsess over every step between someone hearing about us for the first time and showing up on day one. You'll own the whole thing — no handoffs, no excuses.

This role is for someone who moves fast, figures things out, and cares about results more than process.

You'll be measured on:

  • Number of applicants, visits, and enrolled students

  • Conversion rates across the funnel

  • Growth through organic channels and partnerships

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Own the full funnel — from first touch to enrollment Every stage is yours: awareness, interest, lead, visit, enrollment. You identify where it's leaking and you fix it. Nothing is someone else's problem.

2. Build partnerships and organic reach (your main lever) Schools, community organisations, influencers, employers, alumni, events — you map the ecosystem and activate it. The goal is maximum reach with minimum paid spend. You find the opportunities, you close them, you make them happen.

3. Convert leads into students You follow up — via email, phone, WhatsApp — fast and well. You own visit scheduling, show-up rates, and conversion from interest to enrollment. You improve the messaging and the process continuously.

4. Build social proof You get students and alumni to leave reviews, refer friends, and talk about us online. You create simple, repeatable mechanisms that compound over time.

5. Experiment and optimise You test channels, messages, and approaches. You scale what works. You treat the funnel as a system to be improved, not a fixed process to be managed.

6. Track what matters Simple dashboards, real metrics. You know the difference between what looks good and what actually drives enrollments.

7. Use paid media when it makes sense (secondary) Paid is a tool, not a strategy. You use it tactically to amplify what's already working — and every euro spent is justified by outcomes.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • More applicants, more visits, more enrolled students — consistently

  • A growing engine of organic reach and partnerships that doesn't depend on budget

  • Every stage of the funnel visible, measured, and improving

THIS IS NOT:

  • A performance marketing role

  • A campaign manager role

  • A media buyer role

It's a role for someone who wants to own something real — and deliver.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2+ years in growth, partnerships, community, or a role where you had to make things happen with limited resources

  • Experience doing, not just planning

  • Energy, curiosity, and a bias for action

  • Strong communication — you follow up, you close, you keep things moving

  • Comfort with tools: CRM, email, WhatsApp, basic analytics

  • Portuguese and English (both mandatory)

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A no-term contract;

  • A full-time position, carried out in-loco in a dynamic and collaborative office environment (based in Beato);

  • A compensation and benefits package aligned with the responsibility of the role and the candidate’s experience;

  • Time off: 6 additional days off on top of mandatory leave;

  • Health insurance: 75% co-funded by the organization;

  • Learning and development opportunities to support continuous growth.
